Angela Maria Gidaro lives at Imola since 2000, she is married and has three children.
Grown in Abruzzo, between Chieti and Pescara, she approaches to studying the piano at age six. After receiving her High School Diploma, she graduated with highest honors in Piano at the Florence Conservatory of Music "L. Cherubini" under the guidance of Lucia Passaglia.
In the summer of 1998 she took part in a Master Class with Maestro Franco Scala with whom she continued for several years to study piano.
In 2003 she graduated with honors in Musical Aesthetics with Prof. Maurizio Giani at the Bologna University "Alma Mater", and attended a course in harmony and counterpoint (the lower course of Composition) at the Bologna Conservatory of Music "G.B. Martini" under the guidance of Cesare Augusto Grandi.
In 2004 she started working at the Imola International Piano Academy "Incontri col Maestro" with transversal assignments that lead her to mature over the years the role of first collaborator of the Director Maestro Franco Scala. In 2012 the Academy gives her the role of Artistic Director.
She continues her formation, in 2008 by attending the course "Communicating Culture" organized by the Bologna University School of Journalism "Ilaria Alpi" and ATER Foundation. Passionate about management and administration, in July 2015 she obtained a Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) accredited ASFOR at the BBS - Bologna Business School.
She is creator and curator of the Imola Summer Piano Academy & Festival.
