Enrollment Rules



1. Applications for Masterclass
is free for internal and external students of the Academy, with no age limit and no entrance examination.To access the application, please follow the online procedure described in the Application page.
Should the number of requests surpass the number of available places, a selection will be made on the basis of the students’ CVs. The course entitles each participant to have three lessons (except where indicated otherwise) to be scheduled at the Secretariat according to the availability of the professors in question. 
All students attending the Master Class can sit in at all the lessons except when instructed otherwise by specific teachers during the Festival.

Those who are interested in applying for the admission exams to the PIANO courses academic year 2016-2017 must fill out an explicit request in the application form of the Summer Festival. The secretariat will schedule the examination during the days of the Summer Festival.

2. COURSES-TUTORS-DATES
Candidates have the option of requesting lessons with one or two professors. The places will be allocated based on the professors' availability and the students’ CVs.

3. FEES

External students: € 100 enrollment fee + € 400 attendance fee
Internal students: € 100 all inclusive

STRING DEPARTMENT
External students: € 100 enrollment fee + € 300 attendance fee
Internal students: € 300 total

FLUTE DEPARTMENT
External students: € 100 total

COMPOSITION
External students: € 150 total
Internal students: € 100 total


4. IMOLA CITY AWARDS
A competition, known as the IMOLA CITY AWARDS will be organized as part of the festival, and will have €15,000 in prize money to award to Master Class piano students of the Festival. Those interested in participating, please consult the Rules.

5. DEADLINES
By June 6 the applicant should provide for the registration procedure by sending all the required documents as listed in the Application page. From Monday 20 June, the Secretariat will contact the candidates to confirm the student's acceptance and to define the details (teachers required - days of lessons). Met each other's needs, the candidate will be officially admitted to the Master Class and shall pay the registration fee. For the method of payment the candidate must follow the instructions contained in the reserved area of the dedicated web portal.

6. REMITTANCE
Prior to attending the Master Classes, the candidate must submit the remittance for the Attendance Fee (see details of the course fees in the Applications) using the payment method contained in the reserved area of the dedicated web portal. Master Classes will only be given to those candidates who have completed the remittance for the Attendance Fee. The candidate will be required, when attending the Master Class, to display the Academy Badge, duly stamped with the payment confirmation.

7. PRACTISING
Piano lessons will take place in the Piano Academy classrooms, each with two grand pianos, one for the student and the other for the tutor. Upright pianos will be provided for practising purposes. These will be made available to the students according to a schedule issued by the Secretariat. There will be one practice instrument per approximately three students.
